World's largest glacier to hit British Isles


Scientists say A23a, the world's largest glacier at around 3,500 sq km, is on a collision course with the remote British Isles. This glacier is moving north from Antarctica towards South Georgia.

"Glaciers are inherently dangerous.

I'd be very happy if it didn't collide," sea captain Simon Wallace told the BBC.
