An 11-acre fire at a garbage dump in Nagercoil, Kanyakumari district continued to burn for the fourth day on Monday. The fire was extinguished by stirring up the burning garbage with the help of earthmoving machine, causing heavy smoke in the area.
As a result, people around the area are leaving their homes.
